Forgiveness Vespers

This service marks the beginning of Great Lent. During Vespers, evening prayer associated with sun down and the lighting of the lamps for the evening light, we will change the altar covers from gold to purple to enter into a season of repentance, prayer, fasting and almsgiving. At the end of the service, we will ask forgiveness from one another to begin Great Lent with love for one another.
